On May 16, 2013, J. Dudley Watts, Jr., County Manager of Forsyth County presented the FY
20132-2014 Recommended Budget to the Board of County Commissioners. The recommended budget continues the theme of maintaining service levels while maximizing efficiency with as little impact to the citizenry as possible.

By the end of May 2013, the Register of Deeds office will have completed the in-house project of redaction (removal of Social security and driver’s license numbers) from public online records back to 1950, which is when these numbers began to appear on official records.

The Forsyth County Department of Animal Control will be canvassing neighborhoods conducting a survey of licensed
and vaccinated pets. The canvassers will be providing resource information to enable pet owners to gain compliance
with registering their pets and maintain current rabies vaccinations.

Bring the entire family to Cycling Sunday Fun Day on Sunday, May 19, 3:30- 6:00 PM. Cyclists, skaters and pedestrians can enjoy a 1-mile loop route that will be closed to automobile travel. For more family fun, an adjacent stretch of greenway will have games, educational booths, and other activities. This FREE event is great for people of all ages!
