Would you like to get started with vegetable gardening, or learn new tips for healthy plants and abundant harvests? Join us for this workshop on organic gardening!

No backyard? No problem! The program will include resources for finding or starting a community garden in Forsyth County.

Megan Gregory, Community Gardening Coordinator with N.C. Cooperative Extension, will cover how to find a place to grow, and then plan, plant, and maintain your vegetable garden in environmentally-friendly ways. We will discuss site selection, crop planning, soil preparation, planting technique, routine maintenance (e.g., watering, trellising), and how to manage weeds, diseases, and insects. From first-time gardeners to experienced growers, everyone will learn new tips for gardening smarter, not harder!
