Monday Night Movies for Adults at Carver School Road Branch - 6 p.m.

We will show a variety of movies here at the Carver School Road Branch Library on Monday nights during the month of June and July for adults.

• June 10 - "The Matrix" An Academy Award-winning sci-fi film starring Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne. A computer hacker learns from mysterious rebels about the true nature of his reality and his role in the war against its controllers. Rated R for sci-fi violence and brief language. 136 minutes.


• June 17 - "Riddick" A sci-fi, action adventure film starring Vin Diesel. Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, Riddick finds himself up against an alien race of predators. Rated R for mature content. 119 minutes.


• June 24 - "Fifth Element" A sci-fi film starring Bruce Willis takes us 250 years in the future, life as we know it is threatened by the arrival of evil. Only the fifth element can stop the evil from extinguishing life, as it tries to do every 5000 years. Rated PG-13. 126 minutes.


• July 1 - "First Man" The riveting story behind the first manned mission to the moon, focusing on Neil Armstrong and the decade leading to the historic Apollo 11 flight. An intimate account told from his perspective, explores the triumphs and the costs for Armstrong, his family, colleagues, and the nation. Rated PG-13. 141 minutes.


• July 8 - "Gravity" Two astronauts work together to survive after an accident leaves them stranded in space. Dr. Ryan Stone is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission with a veteran astronaut. Rated PG-13. 91 minutes.


• July 15 - "Guardians of the Galaxy" A group of intergalactic criminals must pull together to stop a fanatical warrior with plans to purge the universe. Rated PG-13. 121 minutes.


• July 22 - Summer Movie Finale "Black Panther" T'Challa, heir to the hidden but advanced kingdom of Wakanda, must step forward to lead his people into a new future and must confront a challenger from his country's past. Rated PG-13. 134 minutes.
