    For August, Margaret Adam, Youth Services Librarian at our Walkertown Branch, provides reviews of three fascinating books about little-known World War II events. These selections are great stories--all true--that will give new appreciation for the true nature of the human spirit when in times of turmoil and danger.

    Commissioners Approve Contract Bid to Demolish Central Library

    Hazardous materials removal, demolition of the front part of the library and gutting of the rear section is tentatively set to begin in August after Forsyth County Commissioners approved a contract bid of $697,860 by Demolition and Asbestos Removal Inc.
