Free Programs for Youths at Walkertown in March

PROGRAMS for Youth in FEBRUARY:

Wednesday, March 7th @ 3 pm-----Read to a Dog! (KIDS)
Children age 3-11 are invited to practice their reading skills by reading to a sweet therapy dog. Bring along a book of your choice, or ask a librarian for one when you arrive.
Please register for a 10 minute time slot at the library circulation desk or by calling 336-703-2990.

Wednesday, March 7th @ 3 pm-----Teen Tech: Ozobots (TEENS)
Teens will learn the basic coding principles while creating paths for the Ozobots to follow. Registration required, please call Walkertown Branch Library at 336-703-2990.

Tuesday, March 13th @ 5:45 pm-----Movie Showing: Coco (FAMILIES)
Despite his family's generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead. After meeting a charming trickster named Héctor, the two new friends embark on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel's family history.

Join us at Walkertown Branch Library for our Program for Teens every second and fourth Wednesday. Based on the teen interest on that day, we might have board games, crafts, or something entirely new to offer!

Wednesday, March 21st @ 12:00 pm-----Teen Tech: 3-D Printing (TEENS)
Teens will see our 3-D printer in action in this hour-long program. What will it be? Come check it out to see!

Tuesdays @ 10:30 am-----Storytime (KIDS)
A fun-filled 30-minute program for kids 0-5 with stories, songs, and dancing. A new theme each week!

Mar. 13 - St. Paddy’s Day
Mar. 20 - In the Pond (Creek Week)
Mar. 27 - Easter

Thursdays @10:30 am-----Music & Movement (KIDS)
Join a roomful of toddlers and preschoolers for lively fun, stretching, dancing, rocking, and rolling. Rhymes, chants, and song lyrics develop emerging literacy while everything we do develops rhythm skills. Social skills and relaxed exercise complete the fun.

On-Going-----Coloring Sheets (KIDS)
Stop by the front desk at Walkertown Branch Library to take some coloring sheets home with you!
On-Going-----Board Games (TEENS)
Any teen can borrow a board game to play with their friends inside the library, no library card required! (Board games do not leave the library and must be traded for something that won't be left behind, like keys.)
