Free Programs for Youth in October at Walkertown Branch

PROGRAMS for Youth in OCTOBER:

Walkertown Fall Festival (Fun for babies - age 5, ages 6 - 11, and ages 10 - 17)
The Walkertown Fall Festival will be held at the Walnut Pavilion between Harley Drive and Sullivantown Road.
Come visit the Friends of the Walkertown Branch Library at the Walkertown Fall Festival. There will be crafts for kids and a mini-book sale.
Sign up for a library card and meet Miss April, Walkertown Branch Library Youth Librarian, on Friday from 6-9 p.m and Saturday from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
The festival hours are:
Friday, October 18: 5-9 p.m.
Saturday, October 19: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.

Saturday, Oct 26 at 11:00 a.m. — Fiesta del Día de los Muertos (Fun for babies - age 5, ages 6 - 11, and ages 10 - 17)
Celebrate día de los muertos with Walkertown Branch Library! We'll have themed activities and books in the children's area and the main section of the library. Presented with the Museum of Anthropology.
¡Celebra el día de los muertos con la biblioteca de Walkertown! Tendremos actividades temáticas y libros. Presentado con el Museo de Antropología.

Tuesdays @ 10:30 a.m. — Storytime (Fun for babies - age 5)
A fun-filled 30-minute program for kids 0-5 with stories, songs, and dancing. A new theme each week! Our storytime themes for this month are:
Oct. 1 — Pumpkins
Oct. 8 — Spiders & Snakes
Oct. 15 — Monsters
Oct. 22 — Ghosts
Oct. 29 — Halloween

Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. — Music & Movement (Fun for babies - age 5)
Join a roomful of toddlers and preschoolers for lively fun, stretching, dancing, rocking, and rolling. Rhymes, chants, and song lyrics develop emerging literacy while everything we do develops rhythm and social skills. Oct. 5
