The Hometown Crisis: Opioid Epidemic Monday, March 5 at 6 pm at Walkertown

On Monday, March 5 at 6 pm, Daren Ziglar will speak at Walkertown Branch Library on The Hometown Crisis: Opioid Epidemic. Mr. Ziglar is Assistant Chief for Forsyth County Emergency Services and a Medical Examiner for Forsyth County. Attend this important community meeting to learn valuable information about the opioid crisis, including what is being done at state and local levels.

Walkertown Afterthoughts Book Club Reads "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand"

The Afterthoughts Book Club at Walkertown Branch Library will be discussing Helen Simonson's debut novel, "Major Pettigrew's Last Stand". Written with sparkling wit and comedy, the novel was beloved by critics when it was released in 2010. A comforting cup of tea leads to a blossoming romance between Major Ernest Pettigrew and Mrs. Jasmina Ali, but their English village eyes them with suspicion. We'll see you on Thursday, March 8, at 11 am at Walkertown!

3D Printing Workshop for Adults Tuesday, March 13, 10 am at Walkertown

Have you heard about 3D printing and want to learn more? Come see a demonstration of a 3D printer on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 am at the Walkertown Branch Library. Learn the basics of how an idea becomes reality using 3D modeling and Computer Aided Design (CAD) through Google Sketchup and see the final print process in action.

Come to the Walkertown Area Historical Society presentation on the history of the Walkertown Railway and listen to a free lecture presented by a Railroad Historian Dr. Jeff Miller, the Presidents of the Winston-Salem chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, and an author of a book "Winston-Salem Southbound Railway".
