FCPL offers a great collection of downloadable movies, videos, and music from a variety of sources:
Freegal - Music and Music Videos"
Approximately 13 million songs from over 40,000 labels (including Sony Music) and over 40,000 music videos are offered by Freegal for free downloading. There is no software to download, and there are no digital rights management (DRM) restrictions. Five free song downloads are available every week. One music video download counts as two song downloads.
In addition to ebooks, Overdrive offers streaming videos including movies, documentaries, instructional videos, and children’s videos. There is a three day borrowing period for Overdrive streaming videos.
Films on Demand Video Collection"
This resource provides thousands of high quality streaming videos on business and economics, health and medicine, humanities and social sciences, and science and mathematics, as well as travel and fitness programming, home and how-to videos, indie films, and popular music performances. Films on Demand also includes Oscar, Emmy, and Peabody award winning documentaries, interviews, instructional and vocational training videos, and historical speeches and newsreels. Streaming is provided on demand with no borrowing necessary.

All branches offer an extensive collection of movies and music searchable through NC Cardinal. You can check out music CDs in a variety of genres and DVDs or Blu-ray discs for movies and educational videos.
Educational and feature films for children and families are located in each Branch library’s children’s area. Many DVDs in foreign-languages can also be found in all our libraries.

All audio materials are renewable up to four times. Audio materials can be renewed or reserved at any location as well as online through NC Cardinal
All videos and DVDs may be renewed once before the due date for another 7 days. A $2.00 fine will be assessed per DVD, per day, up to $20.00 if returned late.
