As a cost saving measure, the North Carolina Department of Revenue is no longer providing North Carolina income tax forms and instruction booklets to public libraries, post offices, or other public facilities. All library branches are available for you to come in and use the computers to e-file and print out forms. Please know that Library staff and volunteers do not provide tax assistance and advice. You will be responsible for choosing the forms that are right for you.
Forsyth County residents can once again count on tax assistance from VITA and AARP at Library locations. Volunteers will be on hand at various times during tax season for FREE advice and preparation. (Some income and age restrictions apply.)
The Forsyth County web portal, The Beehive, is partnering with H&R Block to offer free online federal and state tax filing for families making $58,000 or less. To use this service, you will need a valid email address and Social Security Number (or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number).
