Tuesdays at Tanglewood: Who Lives Here? Snakes

On Tuesday, August 20, Tanglewood will end its third annual summer series: Tuesdays at Tanglewood with the program Who Lives Here? Snakes!

View a PowerPoint presentation of our most common snakes. Hear myths dispelled and learn the important role that snakes play in the ecosystem. Get tips for avoiding encounters with venomous residents. Bring a camera for photo opportunities with "Cornelius", the friendly corn snake. To participate in the Who Lives Here? Snakes program, meet at Walnut Hall at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 20.

The Tuesdays at Tanglewood programs are part of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools The Amazing Summer ESCAPE Challenge. Click the link for more information and to register your student today!

The summer programs feature a variety of nature activities and will be free to the public, with the exception of the $2 per vehicle Tanglewood Park entrance fee for all programs at Shelter 2 and Walnut Hall. Registered RV campers and annual pass holders do not pay the entrance fee.

All programs last approximately an hour. The programs are designed for all ages, but children ages 16 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
