Cyclocross Races at Tanglewood Park

Hearts Racing Club presents Tournament at Tanglewood, cyclocross races permitted and sanctioned by USA Cycling on Saturday, January 19, 2013! The course will be a 1.5 – 2 mile loop through a mix of pavement, grass, and dirt surfaces. An online pre-registration is encouraged. For pre-registration, please go to http://www.pre-reg.com/ and create an account. Race fees will increase on race day. On-site/race day registration opens at 8:30 am and closes 30 minutes prior to posted start times.

Cyclocross, mountain, and road bikes allowed. No bar ends. Approved helmets required when riding/racing on the bike.

Tanglewood Park requires a $2 entrance fee, payable at the Gate House as you enter the park.

Racers must be licensed by USA Cycling. One-day licenses are available for $10 at registration for CX4 and Juniors. All other racers must hold an annual license. An additional $5 number fee is required if you do not already have a NCCX Series race number for 2012-2013 (please save your race number used for entire series; replacement fee applicable). Also an additional race $5 fee (pay the higher entry fee, discount lower entry, must have appropriate category #).

No rain date due to NCCX series schedule. No refunds.

The abovementioned event and organization are not affiliated with Forsyth County in any way. It is a separate and independent organization, which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. This event is a contractual agreement between the organization and Forsyth County.


General Park Information

  • Pets must be under control of their owner and kept on a leash no longer than six feet at all times. All pets must have current inoculations for rabies. Pets must be kept and never left unattended. Pet owners are responsible for their pets using the designated waste area and cleaning up after their pets at the designated area.
  • Golf, Horse Stables, Hiking Trails and Accommodations are available year-around.
  • Gardens are open year-around. Blooming seasons vary.
  • Tennis activities are available from April to November.
  • Water activities can be enjoyed from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Entrance Fee:
    • $8.00 - Passenger Vans and Buses
    • $2.00 - All other vehicles
    Annual passes can be purchased at the Welcome Center for $50.00 for passenger vans and buses and $25.00 for all other vehicles. Entrance fees and annual passes do not include admission to special events.
