Fishing and Boating

Tanglewood Park offers fishing at Mallard Lake and Skilpot Lake.

All Tanglewood Park Rules and Regulations apply.
Any polluting of the water by urination, defecation, or littering is prohibited and will result in forfeiture of use of Mallard Lake at Tanglewood Park.
Personal/Private watercrafts are not permitted. A public access to the Yadkin River is available at the canoe access off of Highway 158 between the park entrance and bridge.
No trespassing will be allowed in the park after closing. Nighttime use of Mallard Lake and its facilities is strictly prohibited.
Bank fishing is allowed in designated areas only.
Fishing requires a State Fishing License. All North Carolina Wildlife Fish and Game regulations apply.
Fishing is open year round, daily from 7 am to dusk.

*Fees: All fishing passes are purchased at the front gate upon entering the park

Daily Fishing Pass $1.50
Children under 12 FREE, when accompanied by paying adult
Annual Fishing Pass $ 30.00
*Fishing Fees do not include the daily admission gate fees
