DSS Opens New Customer Care Center

The Forsyth County Department of Social Services opened its new Customer Care Center on September 30th, 2013. Economic Services customers in the Food and Nutrition Services, Medicaid, Work First cash assistance, and Daycare programs can: inquire about case status; make changes to active cases, such as adding new addresses or medical providers; drop off information for their caseworker; receive copies of forms that are needed for their case; get replacement Medicaid and EBT cards ordered; or have copies made. Additional services will be added in the near future. When customers utilize the Customer Care Center for these needs, it allows other Economic Services staff to complete their casework more quickly and with less interruptions, which in turn allows for faster delivery of benefits to customers. It also allows customers to quickly take care of their business without having to visit multiple locations throughout the Agency.
