Community Hygiene

The Community Hygiene section regulates Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, Franchise Garbage Collection and Mosquito Control. The Community Hygiene staff responds to complaints regarding solid and hazardous waste management, illegal dumping, open burning and other improper disposal of solid waste, mosquitoes and rat bites. They conduct individual property evaluations pertaining to general sanitation in Forsyth County. Garbage collection franchises are administered by Community Hygiene in the unincorporated parts of the County. Citizens of Forsyth County and its municipalities may request evaluation of their property/community for mosquito infestation.
