Step Up Forsyth!

2009 Step Up Forsyth! A Whopping Success!

Step Up Forsyth! 2009 Participants in the Fall 2009 Step Up Forsyth! community-wide physical activity program logged in a total of 1,072,836 minutes of physical activity time. (An increase of 50,327 minutes over 2008). Physical activities included walking, biking, swimming, running, and other activities.

A total of 1,170 people joined the 8-week program either as an individual participant or as a member of one of the 48 Step Up Forsyth! teams. (An increase of 188 participants over 2008). Once again, Susan’s Happy Hoofers had the largest team with 173 members. Mary Turner’s team (Kernersville “Y” Wise) logged in the largest total of minutes at 230,068. This put Kernersville “Y” Wise at 21% of the Step Up Forsyth! total minutes logged.

Step Up Forsyth! is a free community-wide physical activity program that aims to improve quality of life through increased physical activity. Step Up Forsyth! takes place in the Fall of every year.
