July Sworn Staff Member of the Month

On July 14th, Deputy Lang was assigned to courtroom 5A and his attention was drawn to an attorney sitting in the gallery. Deputy Lang continued his observations of the attorney and determined that he was recording the court proceedings with a laptop computer and a separate recording device. Deputy Lang brought this behavior to the attention of Superior Court Judge Hall, who immediately stopped the court proceedings and counseled the attorney for making recordings without his permission.

Deputy Lang’s attention to the security was noticed by Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Martin, who notified Deputy Lang’s supervision of his vigilance. She commented on Deputy Lang's vigilance during the court proceeding and thanked the Sheriff's Office for the thorough training given to Deputies.
