When paying by mail, please include a copy of your tax bill and/or your tax bill account number on your check. For your protection, please do not send cash through the mail. To avoid interest, we suggest that you mail your payment five (5) business days before the past due date.
Payments are deemed received based upon the U.S. Postal Service postmark. If no date is shown on the postmark or if the postmark is not affixed by the U.S. Postal Service, the payment will be deemed received when it is actually delivered to the Tax Office. The burden of proof will be on the taxpayer to show that payment was timely made.
