Project Pearl - 1 Year Birthday Party!

Project Pearl, a non-profit organization working in partnership with Forsyth County’s department of Animal Control, is celebrating with a 1-Year Birthday Party event on Saturday, October 13th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at the Forsyth County Animal Shelter.

The aim of the event is to thank the many volunteers, staff members and community supporters who have helped make Project Pearl such a success and to showcase the wonderful animals available for adoption to new homes. Pet food donations for the FCAC AniMeals program which assists low-income residents with pet food will be welcome!

There will be children's activities, food, raffles and lots of homeless animals! Many local businesses have donated fabulous items for the fundraising raffle, and since this is a birthday party, there will be cake and pizza!

Project Pearl has had many successes in this first 10 months of existence:

  • Project Pearl was voted #1 Non-Profit in Winston-Salem by the Winston-Salem Journal's Readers Choice Awards
  • Since the partnership has begun, Forsyth County Animal Control has seen a record-breaking 30% increase in adoptions -- the highest re-homing (adoptions, transfers redemption) ever
  • Project Pearl staffs and coordinates a foster program that has been 100% successful
  • Volunteer hours have significantly increased at the animal shelter

Project Pearl works solely in partnership with the Forsyth County Animal Control. All donations and benefits from this event will go to the benefit of pets in custody of the animal shelter.
