Art Exhibit at Central Library

Finding Home: Portraits of Courage. The Prodigals Community of Winston-Salem is a halfway house for men recovering from addictions. In this thought-provoking exhibit, the residents of the Prodigals Community are depicted in large scale photographic portraits. Each portrait is accompanied by the individual's personal story. These brief essays are touching, revealing and encouraging, as the men describe their experiences in their own words.

The photographs were done by Diana Greene. Diana is a talented local photographer who is able to capture the essence of these men in her black & white photos.

Finding Home: Portraits of Courage is currently on exhibit at the Central Library. There will be a reception on August 28 from 5:30 until 7 pm. The exhibit will be on display until September 30.

Art exhibits at the Central Library are scheduled for three months. The exhibit space is on the first floor between the Pop Library Department and the Children's Department. If you are an artist and would like to exhibit at the Central Library, contact Rob Norwood at 703-3024.
