Trailing Daniel Boone by Randell Jones

Come follow Daniel Boone’s Trail and the story of its creation with a presentation by the author of Trailing Daniel Boone, Marking Daniel Boone’s Trail, 1912-1915. Randell Jones will speak on Saturday November 9th at 10:30am at the Friends of the Lewisville Library annual meeting. Trailing Daniel Boone received a 2012 Kentucky History Award from the Kentucky Historical Society and a Willie Parker Peace History Book Award from the North Carolina Society of Historians.

Randell Jones is the author of the award-winning book, In the Footsteps of Daniel Boone, and the award winning companion DVD, On the Trail of Daniel Boone. His 2011 release, Before They Were Heroes at King’s Mountain, also received a Willie Parker Peace History Book Award. He is an invited member of the Road Scholar’s Speakers Bureau since 2007; his presentation to the Friends of the Lewisville Library is sponsored by the NC Humanities Council.
