Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

Before Bobby Ewing or Bob Newhart inspired television series based on dreams, Lewis Carroll told a story of Alice's (imagined) dreams. We are celebrating the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice's Adventures in Wonderlandwith a tea party. Different kinds of teas will be served by Phyllis Hoots.

Our guest will be Stephanie Lovett, the President of the Lewis Carroll Society of North America. As stated on their web page, "The LCSNA is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering study of the life and works of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known to the world by his pen name, Lewis Carroll." Ms. Lovett is the author of The Art of Alice in Wonderland, and Discoveries: Lewis Carroll in Wonderland. She states, "The Alice books ---speak deeply and clearly to the human psyche; stories of the journey."

Join us for this special program, sponsored by the Friends of the Walkertown Library Reading Group on May 9, from 11:00-1:00. RSVP is required. Please call the Walkertown Branch library to reserve your seat.
