Free Piano Concert: Pamela Howland "Chopin Meets Beatles: Songs of Love, Loss and Longing"

On Friday evening, September 30, 2016, acclaimed classical pianist Pamela Howland will perform at the Walkertown Library in a unique piano concert, “Chopin Meets the Beatles: Songs of Love, Loss and Longing.” Her program will consist of Chopin selections paired with Beatles songs that she has arranged in Chopin-inspired style. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Trained at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and the Eastman School of Music, Ms. Howland has appeared from coast to coast in the United States as both soloist and chamber musician, and has recently returned from a summer tour of Poland, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

PAMELA HOWLAND is a gifted American pianist and Steinway Artist who breathes life and vitality into classical music for audiences of any age or background. Vivacious, imaginative, sensitive and just a trifle unconventional, she is that rare classically trained performing artist who thrives as an entertainer. Her passion for promoting classical music has led her to develop a unique style of performance which allows her audiences to go away educated and entertained, feeling they have learned something about themselves as well as the music.
