Family Movie Night at Walkertown on Wednesday, September 14th @ 6:30pm

Join us at the Walkertown Branch Library for our monthly Family Movie Night as we show Charlotte's Web (2006). In honor of this year's On The Same Page title selection, Animal, Vegetable, Miracle: a year of food life by Barbara Kingsolver, Walkertown decided to show a family film that showcases the farm. Based on the beloved children's novel by E.B. White, a young girl named Fern rescues a runty piglet, raises it as her own and names him Wilbur. However, after Wilbur grows into a pig, she is compelled to sell him to her Uncle Homer Zuckerman down the street. At Zuckerman's barn, Wilbur meets a host of animals and later learns from them that come winter, he will be slaughtered for food. Fearing for his life, Charlotte, a gentle and wise spider whom befriended the lonely Wilbur, vows to save his life. Produced by Paramount Pictures and starring Julia Roberts and Dakota Fanning.(G)

Light refreshments provided by The Produce Box. All are welcome to attend.
