Explorer Post 975 Competes in USMC Mud Run

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Post 975 participated in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) Mud Run on June 3rd at Jomeokee Park and Campground in Pinnacle, NC. The Mud Run is held annually to raise funds for wounded veterans, underprivileged children and youth programs sponsored by the USMC. The 5K race includes physically strenuous obstacles such as wall climbs, mud pits, ropes course and rolling hills.

Explorer Post 975 members have trained all year for the Mud Run. Through teamwork, dedication and physical fitness, they placed 4th out of 160 teams. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is very proud of their performance and representation of “One Team, One Mission.”
