"The End of Alzheimer's" Book Talk Saturday, March 17 at the Walkertown

In The End of Alzheimer's: The First Program to Prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline Dale E. Bredesen, M.D., talks about his neurological research and ways to prevent Alzheimer's disease. There are 36 causes of Alzheimer’s which no one drug can possibly address. It’s all about lifestyle: the stress we carry, the toxicity we accumulate, and especially the diet we eat. He highly recommends meditation, a low-glycemic index diet, high-density nutrition, and a 12-hour fast every night. Herbs and vitamin supplements are also recommended to help with nutritional deficiencies. Many of Dr. Bredesen’s patients that have implemented this protocol have experienced significant improvement in their symptoms.

Sri Ananda Sarvasri will be doing a book review and leading a discussion on The End of Alzheimer's book at the Walkertown Branch Library on Saturday, March 17 at 10:15 AM. This event is open to the public. Call 336-703-2990 for more information.

More about the Author and about the Book:

Dr. Bredesen earned his M.D. from Duke University Medical Center and has been on the faculty of UCSF, UCLA, and the University of California, San Diego.

The global burden of dementia is staggering, and unfortunately on the rise. Of the 318 million Americans currently living, 45 million will develop Alzheimer’s disease. There are 75 million Americans with ApoE4, the most important genetic risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease. It is expected that by 2050, there will be over 160,000,000 patients with Alzheimer’s disease globally. For women, Alzheimer’s is more common than breast cancer, as women make up over 65% of the patients and 60% of the caregivers. MPI Cognition was established to reduce the burden of dementia and reverse the process in those with Alzheimer’s disease.

Dr. Dale Bredesen has spent over 30 years researching the treatment and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease, and has recently published the first paper on the Reversal Of Cognitive Decline in patients with early Alzheimer’s disease and its precursors, MCI and SCI. He was also interviewed by Integrative Medicine in October 2015 regarding this pioneering research.
