Star Festival
Saturday, June 15 at 11 a.m.
Clemmons Branch Library
Children and Teens of All Ages

Join Japanese Outreach Initiative Ambassador Nana Watanobe as we celebrate the Star Festival. In present-day Japan, people generally celebrate this day by writing wishes, sometimes in the form of poetry, on tanzaku (small pieces of paper) and hanging them on bamboo with other decorations. Join us in creating our own bamboo wish tree and origami decorations that will stay up until July 7th. This program is open to children and teens of all ages and skill levels. Supplies will be provided.
