Mixed Doubles: Tandem Lectures on Unrelated Topics for the Terminally Curious

Mixed Doubles is a playful and informative series that brings together two experts from disparate disciplines in the Triad for an exchange of ideas, demonstrations and more. Just about anything can happen. It's the perfect cure for the winter doldrums.

Season one of Mixed Doubles kicks off on Wednesday, Jan. 8 from 6-7 p.m. in the Central Library Auditorium for a discussion on punk rock and French cooking and continues with three more sessions at Central Library before it moves to the Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) for four more sessions. Organized by DENT Creative ReUse Center and Art Laboratory in conjunction with the Forsyth County Public Library and SECCA.

Jan. 22 Medieval Women Mystics and Sculpture for Art and Musical Performance

At SECCA. Socialize from 5:30-6 p.m. Program begins at 6 p.m.

Feb. 6 Bats/Noise and Bands, Burlesque, Hot Rods

Feb. 20 Urban Gardening and Animation/Special Effects

Feb. 27 Fakers, Phones, Liars and Cultivating Mushrooms

March 5 TBD by community and Mixed Doubles audiences
