African American Read-In

Posted on 2/5/2014 by Crystal D. Holland

African American Read-In

The Read-In is a way to highlight the diversity of African-American writers through public readings of their work. 2014 marks the 25th year for this national event. The Black History Month theme is Civil Rights in America. Several selections will be read which highlight this theme. Participants can sign-up to read or just come and listen. There will be brochures and other handouts for all ages celebrating literacy and the contributions of African-American writers.
