Music and Movement: Sing and Play Along Ages 1 to 5 Thursdays at Walkertown

Music couldn't be more fun or come more naturally to children than on Thursday mornings at Walkertown. Come sing, dance, shake eggs, and giggle under the parachute together at Music and Movement, free and open to babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the adults who love them.

Rag Rug Weaving with John Wald: Free Demonstration May 16th at Walkertown

Join us in observing master craftsman, John Wald, as he uses his hand-made loom to weave rag rugs. Mr. Wald will be demonstrating the twining method to weave his rugs. This method involves twisting two separate pieces of material over and around a third piece that is suspended on a frame to hold it in place. Audience participation is welcomed. Wednesday, May 16, 10 - 11:30 am at the Walkertown Branch Library.

Free Programs for Youths at Walkertown in April

Walkertown Branch Library is excited to offer a variety of programs for Kids and Teens in April. Kids (and accompanying parents) can come to Storytime, dance with us at Music and Movement, or have free coloring sheets! Teens can learn the basics of 3D printing and computer programming, become volunteers or come play games. Choose what interests you!

Walkertown Afterthoughts Book Club Reads "Interpreter of Maladies" Thursday, May 10, at 11

The Afterthoughts Book Club at Walkertown Branch Library will meet to discuss Jhumpa Lahiri's book, "Interpreter of Maladies". The book won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction and the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award in the year 2000 and has sold over 15 million copies worldwide. We'll see you on Thursday, May 10, at 11 am at Walkertown Branch library!
