Music of India - Free Concert
Saturday, October 21, 1 pm - 2:30 pm
This rare concert of classical music from India is presented by students of Gaurang Doshi and features the sitar and sarod. Doshi is the son of preeminent Indian classical musician Dr. Laxmikant Doshi. He has followed in his father's footsteps to become a respected musician and teacher in his own right. In addition to teaching the first Indian classical music college course in North Carolina at UNC-Greensboro, Doshi has been teaching this sacred musical tradition in Winston Salem since 2006.
