Resource of the Month: Testing & Education Reference Center

Are you preparing for a major test, such as the SAT, GRE, or LSAT? Maybe you are planning on returning to college and are required to take entrance exams. Or, perhaps it's time to take career assessments to find the right fit for you. Whether you need to prepare for high school and college tests, look for resources to start a new career, or require testing to pursue other personal goals, Gale has the perfect tool for you.

The Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC) helps users embark on new education and career paths with in-depth information on colleges/universities, graduate/professional programs, distance learning, corporate training, available scholarships/awards, and more. Practice tests include entrance exams, certifications, and licensing tests. With the Career Assessment tool, students can map a career path using a multiple-choice exam that determines their Holland Type and matches their answers to the most suitable job categories, industries, and occupations. The Resume Builder and Virtual Careers Library tools helps students build essential career skills like how to build a resume, cover letter, and interviewing tips.

TERC is a free online resource provided by NC Live through Forsyth County Public Library.
