Paddison Memorial Branch Library Announces Winners of the Fan Fiction Writing Contest

Congratulations to Caitie Anne Banks and Justin Husler on winning the Paddison Memorial Branch's fan fiction writing contest for teens and adults this summer! They each received a writer's bag of prizes, and you can read their stories at the links below. Thank you to everyone who participated and sent in such great stories! We look forward to future writing contests.

In the mean time, we'd love to invite all writers to our writers groups at our library. The Writers Group for adults meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 5 p.m. and the fourth Friday of the month at 3 p.m., and we have a brand new Teen Writers Group for ages 12 to 18 starting up in September which will meet the first Thursday of the month at 4 p.m. Bianca Orellana, one of our library staff, is a published YA author, and she leads both groups. They are places where you can share your work and give feedback to others and learn about the publishing process. Writers at all experience levels are encouraged to join.

Enjoy these prize-winning stories from our incredible writers!
