Calling All Artists and Runners/ Walkers!

The Arts Move My Sole 5K & Fun Run

  • May 17, 2014
  • Winston-Salem Fairgrounds

Calling all Runners/Walkers!

Registration is now open for The Arts Move My Sole 5K and Fun Run where participants will experience the arts as they run/walk through a certified 5K course. We are also accepting vendors for this event, who are local artists that make and sell handmade artwork of all types.

Participants will be entertained by musical performances at each kilometer of the certified route, greeted by visual artists at the finish line, and treated to a special culinary arts experience after the awards ceremony. The awards are beautiful and unique hand-crafted plates of pottery, created especially for the event.

The event is presented by Forsyth County and the City of Winston-Salem as a fundraising effort for The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

Activities will include:

  • 5K run through the music
  • 1 mile fun run/walk
  • Shop for local, hand-made artwork
  • Culinary Arts Presentation by Food Network celebrity chef, Curtis Aikens of Calling All Chefs and Pick of the Day
  • Explore the Dixie Classic Farmers Market

Register online at www.intothearts.org by May 14, 2014. Download the 5K brochure for more information.
