Detention Staff Member of the Year

On Tuesday, October 11, 2016, Detention Officer J. Inman was assigned to the Special Needs and Management Housing Unit. At approximately 0200 hours on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, Detention Officer Inman was attacked by an Inmate. The Inmate freed himself from restraints and tackled Detention Officer Inman from behind. Detention Officer Inman was struck approximately 2 times in the face and head, breaking his nose. During the altercation, Detention Officer Inman was able to use the training provided to him to subdue the inmate and regain control.

Detention Officer Inman displayed a great amount of professionalism, dedication, and restraint in the face of a dangerous situation. He demonstrated proper execution of training to regain control of the situation and restrain the inmate until more help could arrive.

Detention Officer Inman takes his job and positions seriously. He performs assigned tasks with professionalism and accuracy, which displays passion and dedication to work and Forsyth County.
