Expand your reading tastes with the Lewisville Branch 2024 Reading Contest

Calling all readers and book lovers! We would like to invite you to take part in our 2024 Reading Contest at the Lewisville Branch Library. The 2023 contest had 8 participants reading 192 books, and we’re hoping for an even bigger turnout for our 2024 contest.

How it works:
The contest has two levels of reading prompts: Beginner and Aficionado. Beginners will be reading books that take place during the Industrial Revolution, finally finishing books they’ve only just started, reading books recommended by teenagers, and more. Aficionados will be reading anthologies of short stories, books about Vikings traveling to the Americas, biographies about North Carolinians and nine other categories.

You can choose to read one or both levels. Beginners’ entries are entered once; aficionados’ entries are entered twice. Participants who read both Beginner and Aficionado levels will be entered four times to win the prize: a $25 Bookmarks gift card.

View and print a reading log or pick one up the Lewisville Branch. Entries are due Saturday, Dec. 14, and we’ll pick a winner on Monday, Dec. 16.
