Tween Poetry Month

Tweens (ages 9-12) can create and share their poetry for National Poetry Month each week in April. On Thursdays, the tweens will have a chance to read aloud their poems via Zoom and create a group poem based on the that week’s theme. Please register to receive a link to the Thursday program by emailing Rudy at yisakrs@forsyth.cc.

Below are the weekly poetry themes:

• The first week is haiku with a virtual collaborative session on Thursday, April 1 at 4 p.m.
• The second week is acrostic with a virtual collaborative session on Thursday, April 8 at 4 p.m.
• The third week is limerick with a virtual collaborative session on Thursday, April 15 at 4 p.m.
• The fourth week is free verse with a virtual collaborative session on Thursday, April 22 at 4 p.m.
• The fifth week is a sonnet with a virtual collaborative session on Thursday, April 29 at 4 p.m.
