Art Exhibits at the Central Library through February 2023

A bit about the artists and their exhibits

Trena McNabb is a North Carolina artist with exhibits from the mountains to the coast. Trena’s most notable works are large-scale site-specific paintings, using native plants and animals. However, she also paints small-scale allegorical scenes. These scenes often unite stylized shapes as well, to fit her harmonious concept of beauty. Multi-layered montages of brightly lit, realistic and thematically painted scenes contribute to Trena’s distinctive style.

Eduardo Diaz is a local and relatively new artist in the community. His current exhibit focuses on portraits of past and present celebrities from the African-American community, in celebration of Black History Month. However, Eduardo has a large range of sketched and painted portraits in his collections. He can also create commissioned pieces upon request.

Don't miss these unique exhibits. They can be found on the second floor of the Central Library, and will be on display until Feb 28.
