Virginia Evans in Conversation with Charlie Lovett registration is full

Hear that buzzing? It's all the talk about Virginia Evans' upcoming appearance at the Forsyth County Central Library on Tuesday, April 21 at 6 p.m. Here's what you need to know about registering, parking, and more.

Is admission to this event really free?
Yes! All Forsyth County Public Library events are always free and open to the public. Due to the enormous interest in this event, we've had to limit the number of people who can be admitted to the auditorium due to space restrictions. The registration list and waitlist were both full by 12:19 p.m.

Will there be a secondary waitlist to be able to watch event from the Third Floor Reading Room?
No. Our online calendar system doesn't allow for multiple waitlists for a single event. However, if a person cancels their registration for the event in the auditorium, the first person on the waitlist will be notified that they've been moved from the waitlist to the registration list. This would open up a slot on the waitlist, and registration would open up again until that waitlist spot is filled.

Can I watch the event online?
No. Viewing the event will be limited to those in the Central Library Auditorium and Reading Room.

Will there be free parking?
There will be several places to park for free on the evening of the event, including:

  • On Fifth Street in front of the Central Library after 5 p.m.
  • In the Centenary United Methodist Church parking lot across the street from the Central Library
  • In the Forsyth County Public Library parking lot at the corner of Fifth and Spring Streets
  • Along Spring Street between the Central Library and the Spring House
  • In the covered parking area behind the Central Library

Can I buy a copy of The Correspondent at the event?
Bookmarks, downtown Winston-Salem's nonprofit bookstore, will be selling books by both authors at the event:

  • The Correspondent by Virginia Evans: $28
  • The Correspondent: Deluxe Edition by Virginia Evans: $35
  • The Enigma Affair by Charlie Lovett: $17.99
  • Escaping Dreamland by Charlie Lovett: $16.99

Will Virginia Evans be signing copies of her book?
Yes! Virginia will be signing/personalizing copies of her book and posing for photographs at the conclusion of her conversation with Charlie Lovett.
