Miles for Meals 5K

Miles for Meals 5K (Saturday, Nov. 9th) Supporting the Hillsdale Church Food Ministry will be the first event through the Festival of Lights. Join the fun to help feed those in need!

TOAST

TOAST (Sunday, Nov. 10th) is the perfect event for families, walkers, strollers and wagon rollers through the majestic lights. This event is appropriate for people of all ages and abilities.

Paws in the Park

Paws in the Park (Monday, Nov. 11th and Tuesday, Nov. 12th) This unique event offers animal lovers the opportunity to bring their four-legged friends with them to Tanglewood Park for a walk through the enchanted holiday light display.

Running of the Lights

Running of the Lights (Dec. 31st) Start off the New Year with a race through the Festival of Lights at midnight!

Carriage & Hayrides

Horse-drawn Carriage Rides with our professional staff will take you and up to three guests for a ride through the Tanglewood Festival of Lights. Experience the light show in the comfort of a traditional white carriage drawn by a Percheron horse. Carriage rides are scheduled by reservation only. Call early for reservations while they last.

The cost is $90 cash or check plus Festival of Lights admission. For more information, contact the Tanglewood Stables at (336) 766-9540.

Tractor-pulled Hayrides View the magic and splendor of Tanglewood's Festival of Lights with your family and friends on one of our tractor pulled hayrides. Hay rides are available by reservation every night during the light show.

The cost is $165 cash or check plus Festival of Lights admission paid either by cash or check. For reservations or more information, please call the Stables at (336) 766-9540.

Manor House decorated doorway at Christmas

Excelsior at the Manor House Bed and Breakfast, which is located in beautiful Tanglewood Park, is restored to reflect the gentility of the Victorian era. The William Johnson family constructed one section of the house in 1859, and when tobacco magnate William Neal Reynolds and his wife Kate bought the tract of land in 1921 to be their country estate, they added the remainder. The Manor House is a magical place for you to spend a wonderful evening during the Festival of Lights. Book your stay to enjoy a mix of genuine antique and reproduction furnishings throughout, including original staircases, crystal chandeliers, and ten bedrooms with unique charm. Guests staying at the Manor House receive free admission to the Festival of Lights! Just show your room key at the front gate.

RV Campground Extended Season
The RV Campground season will be extended to December 5th! Our campers also receive free admission to the Festival of Lights. Just show your campground pass at the front gate!

Festival of Lights Gift Village

Gift Shop

Enjoy some holiday shopping at our Gift Shop located at the Red Barn. The Gift Shop is located approximately halfway through the light show route. Here you will find holiday crafts, specialty foods and handmade gifts by local artisans. You can also pick up the annual Festival of Lights ornament for your collection! Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as well as cash. A pre-sale event will be held November 9th from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Each night, the Gift Shop will be open for the duration of the show.

S'moresville

Lowes Foods has brought back the marshmallow cooking experience to Festival of Lights with S'moresville! This long-loved family tradition is located in the Gift Village, right outside the Gift Shop. Lowes will be selling the roasting sticks with either marshmallows or s'mores kits on-site. Visitors to S'moresville may not bring their own sticks or food items for roasting. S'moresville will close each evening at 10PM. S'moresville will be closed on Christmas day.

Stables

Inside the park, Tanglewood Stables offers horse-drawn carriage rides and tractor-pulled hayrides which provide a unique alternative viewing experience to Festival of Lights show. Carriage rides and hayrides are scheduled by appointment only and normally sell out prior to Opening Night. Call early for reservations: 336-766-9540.

Tanglewood Park is located just ten minutes west of Winston-Salem right off I-40 in Clemmons, NC

From Winston-Salem (East):

Take I-40 West to Exit 182 (Harper Rd/Tanglewood) and follow the Tanglewood Park signs OR take Exit 180A (801 South/Bermuda run) and follow the Tanglewood Park signs

From the West:

Take I-40 East to Exit 180 (NC-801-Tanglewood/Bermuda Run) and follow the Tanglewood Park signs

NOTE: The entrance to Tanglewood Park Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park is off of NC Highway 158 (Clemmons Road). Certain GPS services may incorrectly direct you access to the park off of Idols Road. If you arrive at the Idols Rd. entrance, you will be redirected towards the main entrance of the park.

- From the back gate Festival of Lights exit
- Head east on Idols Rd and travel approx 1 mile
- Turn left onto Middlebrook Dr and travel approx 1.5 miles
- Turn left onto Clemmons Road/Hwy 158 heading west and travel 1.7 miles

Tanglewood Park’s Festival of Lights will take place from November 15th, 2024 through January 1st, 2025. Join our Tanglewood team this year for a great opportunity to take part in one of the community’s brightest events of the season and earn extra holiday spending money!

Festival of Lights Cashier and Lead Cashier positions are now open for applications for anyone who may be interested in seasonal, part-time work. Scheduled evening shifts at the Front Gate and Gift Shop will vary throughout the show. County employees are eligible to apply.
