Information on Reclaiming Your Pet
- Come to the shelter as soon as possible. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am
until 6 pm. We are closed on Sunday and Monday.
- Bring your pet’s rabies vaccination certificate and some form of proof of ownership (photos, vet
records, etc). You will also need to bring identification. (Reclaim Fees will be paid to Forsyth Humane Society.)
- If your animal is not vaccinated against rabies, he/she must be vaccinated at your expense paid to Forsyth Humane Society
- Your pet must also be microchipped in accordance with the county ordinance at your expense paid to Forsyth Humane Society.
- If you reside in Forsyth County and your pet is not currently licensed, you must obtain a license for your pet at your expense paid to Forsyth County.
