Program Update: Tanglewood Arboretum Adult Education

The Adult Education Lecture at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park scheduled for August 16 has been changed. The lecture will now be “Horticultural Therapy for Special Populations” presented by registered Horticultural Therapist and Community Garden Mentor Lea Nading.

Urban Landscaping School accepting Applications

The Urban Agriculture program team at NC Forsyth County Cooperative Extension is accepting applications for the 10 week Urban Landscaping School, which will begin August 2nd through October 4, 2017. Classes will be held on Wednesday mornings from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the NC Forsyth County Cooperative Extension building.

Join Forsyth Community Gardening and the Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program for a garden tour and healthy cooking demonstration!

The next ‘Cooking in the Garden’ program will be held on Wednesday, July 26 at 11:00 am at the Sprague St. Community Center Garden, 1350 E. Sprague St., Winston-Salem NC 27107. Spanish interpretation will be provided.
