Make a difference in the lives of others. Volunteer at the Library!
Our new re-imagined Central Library will soon be home to some truly unique, fresh and exciting spaces for discovery, creativity and collaboration. Now is your chance to be a part of the opening of the new Central Library--and its lasting history--through the purchase of a commemorative, engraved brick paver.
In November, Lara Luck, Collection Development Manager for the Library system, looks back on some of her favorite books for 2016.
Studies have proven that kids who are consistently read to before kindergarten achieve greater success in life over those who aren't. Our 1,000 books before kindergarten program is a great way to prepare pre-k kids for school and for life.
The current Lewisville Library is the newest and most up-to-date Forsyth County Public Library facility. It opened in 2007 thanks to a very supportive community. The new library building of 15,000 square feet acts as a focal point and continues to draw the community together to meet the needs of Lewisville citizens, all 17,000 of them. In fact, the annual door count is more than 60,000 visits.
We at the Lewisville library are looking for displays for our two display cases this year. Past displays have included doll collections, historical documents, hand-made arts and crafts, Purple Heart and other military displays, Mardi Gras masks, model cars, displays commemorating events such as Girl Scouts month, Constitution month, and more. If you would like to provide a display for us this year, please call 703-2940 or 703-2943.
