Did you know that there’s a book sale every day at the Walkertown Library? We had a lot of pre-covid donations from our generous patrons, and the Friends organized it into our wonderful book sale. Come take a look! It’s much cheaper than even a used bookstore, and you'll help the library.
Need something new? Staying at home and going crazy without books? No need to. We can help! Request a "grab bag" of books chosen for you based on what you like to read!
New York Times bestselling author and Winston-Salem native, Charlie Lovett, will discuss his latest book, "Escaping Dreamland." Registration is required for this free Zoom program. After you have successfully registered, you will receive a link via email to access the event. Click here to register.
The Walkertown Branch Library resumes the adult beginner tai chi class in an outdoor variation, every Friday at 10 a.m. The class will meet on the library lawn, and everyone will be asked to wear a mask and maintain social distance. Tai Chi is a low impact exercise that has many benefits, including decreased stress and improved balance. Please join instructor Mark Fleming for an hour of tai chi “play” that will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Call to register!
