A deputy will respond to your location and start the investigative process by filing a report. If you need immediate assistance or you’re involved in an emergency, please dial 911.

SheriffSpecial Assistant to the Sheriff Frank Bradley Stanley retires
Special Assistant to the Sheriff Frank “Brad” Stanley began his Law Enforcement career in 1992 when he was sworn in as a Reserve Deputy. On June 12, 1993, he was hired by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Special Assistant to the Sheriff Stanley earned several promotions throughout his career obtaining the rank of Chief Deputy on April 30, 2011.
SheriffCaptain Thomas Bowman, Jr. retires
Captain Thomas Bowman began his Law Enforcement career in 1992 with the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office. On November 22, 2004, he was hired by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Captain Bowman earned several promotions throughout his career obtaining the rank of Captain in January 2018.
SheriffLieutenant Gregory Walters retires
On March 5, 1992, Lieutenant Gregory Walters was hired by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff. Lieutenant Walters earned several promotions throughout his career obtaining the rank of Lieutenant on April 4, 2020.
