May Detention Staff Member of the Month

On May 15th, Detention Officer Ball was confiscating an inmate's property for inventory after an altercation had occurred in his assigned area. During a search of the inmate's cell, Officer Ball discovered a shank hidden underneath a mattress within the cell. This weapon was made from a sharpened pencil, toothbrushes secured to the sides of the pencil and a handle fashioned from latex gloves.

Due to Officer Ball's discovery of this weapon, he prevented possible injury to staff and inmates within the Detention Center. Detention Officer Ball has been employed with the Forsyth County Sheriffs Office Law Enforcement Detention Center since June of 2013.
