On June 23, 2014, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Records Unit acquired a new staff member, Ms. Amelia Jackson. Ms. Jackson has been trained to serve subpoenas due to the daily volume received by the Process Intake Unit. Ms. Jackson calls citizens subpoenaed to testify and serve them by informing them of future court appearance information. Ms. Jackson served 238 subpoenas during her first eight days working in Records. This number does not include the many calls she made just to attempt service.

In July, Ms. Jackson was trained to enter warning tickets, citations, and subpoenas in the Records Management System (RMS). During this time Ms. Jackson was able to enter 258 warning tickets, 157 citations, 111 subpoenas and was still was able to serve 341 subpoenas. Although Ms. Jackson has only been with the Records Unit for a very short time, she is proving to be an asset to the Processing Services Section as well as the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.

Ms. Jackson is a Records Specialists and has been with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office since February 2014.
