November Detention Staff Member of the Month

On November 20, 2014, Detention Officer Cole was assigned to an inmate dormitory. While medical staff distributed medications to inmates, Detention Officer Cole noticed an inmate grasping at their throat. He relaized the inmate was choking on medication and could not breathe. Detention Officer Cole performed the Heimlich maneuver on the inmate and saved his life.

Due to Detention Officer Cole’s quick actions, the inmate suffered no harmful side effects from the incident.Detention Officer J. Cole has been employed with the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center since August of 2008.
