While on light duty, Deputy Johnson was assigned to assist with property inventory at the Beatty Center with the Winston-Salem Police Department. After his assignment, the following email was received from the Evidence Management Supervisor: “I wanted to sincerely thank you for allowing Deputy Joe Johnson to assist us with inventory while he was on light duty during the month of January. We have been blessed with many inventory helpers over the years but he wins the gold star by a long shot! Deputy Johnson arrived to work each day with a bright attitude, willing to start immediately, and never once uttered any complaint. He is an incredibly fast learner and caught on to our procedures almost immediately. Deputy Johnson is very detail-oriented and takes great pride in his work—that was apparent from day one. I have no doubt that we completed our inventory (scanning and reconciling) in record time due to his efforts and can-do attitude. He was a breath of fresh air and I hated to see him leave! Please allow this email to serve as a commendation for Deputy Johnson’s hard work and dedication to the largest, most important project that Evidence Management completes each year. We cannot thank him enough for his efforts!” This email underscores how Deputy Johnson’s positive attitude while assisting another agency helped build strong bonds between agencies and staff members. Thank you, Deputy Johnson.
