Sergeant J. Russell. Sergeant J. Russell has been an invaluable member of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office for nearly two decades, serving with dedication and distinction at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. With seven years of supervisory experience, he has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of his co-workers. As the Special Response Team Leader, Sergeant Russell has repeatedly proven himself in the face of emergent, hostile, and dangerous situations. His ability to make quick decisions under pressure and ensure the safety of his team members is commendable and speaks volumes about his professionalism and expertise. In addition to his leadership on the Special Response Team, Sergeant Russell has stepped up to meet the demands of his team at the detention center. With the transition to permanent shifts, he has taken on the immense responsibility of overseeing security operations while often being the only security supervisor, other than the Shift Commander, effectively performing the duties of three Corporals and three Sergeants. Despite the challenges and increased workload, Sergeant Russell has remained dedicated and steadfast in his commitment to ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the facility. Sergeant Russell's selflessness, and willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty are truly commendable. He exemplifies the values of the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and serves as an inspiration to others. Officer J. Anderla. Officer J. Anderla is being recognized for his exceptional dedication and commitment to maintaining safety and security within the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. Officer Anderla was assigned to general population housing units where he performed his duties with exemplary diligence. Officer Anderla's keen eye and attention to detail led to the discovery of a hidden item of contraband that had been fashioned into a weapon during a routine search within his assigned housing unit. Furthermore, Officer Anderla once again demonstrated his vigilance and thoroughness by uncovering multiple items of contraband during a routine cell search. Officer Anderla's unwavering commitment to adhering to FCSO policy and procedures, coupled with his dedication to keeping both fellow officers and the inmate population safe, is truly commendable. Thanks to his diligence and adherence to protocol, multiple items of contraband were successfully discovered and removed from the detention center, thereby enhancing the safety and security of the facility. His contributions to the safety and security of the detention center are invaluable, and he is truly deserving of this recognition. Officer K. Brown. Officer K. Brown currently serves as the Grievance Officer at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. She has demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to her duties, particularly during special assignments. Assigned to provide security and oversee the completion of deep cleaning of the housing units and facility, Officer Brown executed her responsibilities with exemplary diligence. Her meticulous approach to cleaning ensured that the housing units maintained a high standard of cleanliness week after week. Additionally, Officer Brown took the initiative in coordinating with Paytel Communications to ensure that every inmate in the facility was assigned a tablet. The tablet project has been a long time coming and with the facility housing about 800 inmates per night, it was an enormous feat to make sure every inmate received a tablet in good working condition. Her proactive approach and effective communication skills facilitated the smooth implementation of this initiative, enhancing communication and accessibility for inmates. Officer Brown consistently goes above and beyond her job requirements, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. She tackles tasks with efficiency and dedication, ensuring that they are completed quickly and effectively. Officer J. Jones. The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office is highlighting the exceptional contributions of Officer J. Jones at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center (LEDC). Her positive attitude, dedication to her role, and commitment to personal and professional growth have made her an invaluable member of our organization. Officer Jones’ approach to training new employees is exemplary, characterized by a positive demeanor and a genuine investment in their success. She takes pride in her work, evident in the care and attention she devotes to training other officers. Officer Jones goes above and beyond to ensure that her trainees understand their responsibilities, taking the time to explain concepts thoroughly and sharing her knowledge generously. Furthermore, Officer Jones's receptiveness to constructive criticism is truly commendable. Rather than viewing feedback as a setback, she embraces it as an opportunity for personal and collective growth. Her willingness to learn and improve not only benefits her development but also contributes to the advancement of her co-workers and the overall effectiveness of her team. She has undoubtedly made a significant impact since joining our team, and her presence has been a source of inspiration for those around her. Officer C. Rivera. Officer C. Rivera consistently goes above and beyond in his role, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. He is always willing to go the extra mile, often coming in early and staying late to ensure that all warehouse tasks are completed to the highest standards. His willingness to contribute his time and effort to the success of our team does not go unnoticed. One of Officer Rivera’s notable contributions is his initiative in reorganizing the entire warehouse area. Thanks to his efforts, the warehouse is now more organized and efficient, making it easier for everyone to find what they need quickly. Officer Rivera’s proactive approach to improving our work environment demonstrates his leadership and dedication to continuous improvement. Officer Rivera never complains and approaches every challenge with a can-do attitude, inspiring those around him to do the same. Officer Rivera is a stellar employee with an exceptional work ethic and a positive attitude. His contributions to our agency have been vital and certainly have not gone unnoticed. Officer A. Zimmerman. Officer A. Zimmerman has consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication, professionalism and a "can do" attitude in her role as a Detention Officer at the Forsyth County Law Enforcement Detention Center. Officer Zimmerman's commitment to her duties is exemplary. She willingly volunteers for overtime, often exceeding mandated hours, and consistently goes above and beyond by assisting other floors with their duties during her shifts. Her willingness to help and her proactive approach to tasks make her a reliable and instrumental member of our team. In addition to her regular duties, Officer Zimmerman repeatedly volunteers for escort details and fulfills other responsibilities, such as serving as a Field Training Officer and providing assistance to others whenever needed. Her versatility and willingness to take on additional roles highlight her dedication to the safety and efficiency of our facility. Officer Zimmerman's work in the Special Needs and Management housing units, which house inmates with complex needs and behaviors, is particularly commendable. In this challenging environment, Officer Zimmerman consistently upholds the highest security standards and demonstrates her ability to perform her duties effectively with minimal supervision. Throughout her time at the detention center, Officer Zimmerman has consistently shown that she is dependable, hardworking, and committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of her co-workers and the inmates under her care. Her actions exemplify her deep sense of responsibility and dedication to her role.
