Peter Loewer, “The Wild Gardener,” is Coming to Central

Peter Loewer, “The Wild Gardener” is coming to the Library. Join us as he presents the program, “The New Small Garden,” and learn about creating new and unusual gardens on modest plots of land, tailored for the gardener with a small amount of space or who may be limited to a deck or patio. There will also be photographs of real gardens, including many of the author’s garden rooms.

Mr. Loewer writes for national gardening magazines and is the author and illustrator of many gardening books, including The Wild Gardener, which was deemed one of the 75 great gardening books by the American Horticulture Society. His radio show can be heard on National Public Radio throughout western North Carolina. He sits on the board of the J.C. Raulston Arboretum, and his work is in the permanent collection of the Carnegie Mellon Hunt Institute of Botanical Documentation. For more informatoin on the Wild Gardener, visit his website.
